<p>Pandya’s 87 played a significant role in India’s 266 all-out total against Pakistan in the Asia Cup’s first rain-affected match.</p>
<p>The Baroda star has more than made up for his mistakes after being appointed national T20 skipper and is once again bowling at a rapid speed. He previously suffered a career-threatening lower-back stress fracture and missed a significant amount of international cricket.</p>
<p>“As an all-arounder, I have a heavier workload than anybody else. I’ll continue to bowl till the team’s hitter has finished his at-bat and is on his way home, Pandya told ‘Star Sports’.</p>
<p>He explained how he manages his workload: “So for me, all the managing, all the pushing, and everything happens during the sessions, my training, or my pre-camp season.”</p>
<p>The ODI vice-captain said that he evaluates the game’s circumstances before deciding whether to bowl his entire allotment of 10 overs or not.</p>
<p>“When the game starts, it is more about what the team needs, and the managerial side hits the ground running. It is more a matter of making realistic decisions about how many overs are required for me.</p>
<p>“Because if 10 overs are not required, it serves no use for me to bowl 10 overs; yet, if 10 overs are required, I will bowl. I’ve always thought that by playing the game well and supporting myself, I give myself a chance to win,” he said.</p>
<p>Being confident in oneself will always be necessary to achieve success at the greatest level.</p>
<p>“I’ve come to the realization that you have to believe in yourself and support yourself no matter what occurs. That does not ensure your success, but it does offer you the tools and the direction you need to go toward it, so you should essentially believe in yourself,” he said.</p>
