<p><strong>Mumbai:</strong> Due to personal reasons, former India captain Virat Kohli missed the Test series against England. Now, there are rumors that he would skip the forthcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season.</p>

<p>Although it hasn’t been confirmed, recent remarks made by former India opener Sunil Gavaskar have triggered a lot of conjecture. Gavaskar recently said that Kohli is not playing at the moment for a personal reason. Furthermore, Gavaskar said that it is quite likely that he would not participate in the IPL.</p>
<p>“Kya woh khelenge,” Gavaskar said in response to the question of whether Kohli would be motivated to hit runs considering his absence from professional cricket. For whatever reason, he can’t play in the IPL. Shaayad ho sakta hai ke liye bhi na khele. For whatever reason, he is not participating; maybe he won’t participate in the IPL either.</p>
<p>One of the best run scorers in the history of the lucrative league is Kohli. With 639 runs from 14 innings, the former RCB captain was the fourth-highest run scorer in the 2023 Indian Premier League.</p>
<p>Just after India’s triumph, Kohli, who was recently photographed in London after his second fatherhood, took his ‘X’ and praised the country’s youth for their outstanding performance in the series so far.</p>
<p>The next IPL season is anticipated to see Kohli play a major role for the RCB team. It would be intriguing to see whether Kohli chooses to bat first, as he often does in the Indian Premier League, or if he stays at number three to provide stability for the middle order.</p>
