Google Apps: Google’s Top Plans For A Better User Experience Include Emojis In Maps And AI-Based Proofreading In Gboard

Numerous Google applications are utilized on various platforms all around the globe. To enhance user experience, the tech giant upgrades them often. And in a recent development, Google unveiled an emoji-based symbol for stored locations in Maps. Additionally, it is said that the business is exploring features including a new “Proofread” tool in Gboard and a luminous subscribe button on YouTube.

Let’s examine each of them in further depth.<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-174960″ src=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/theindiaprint.com-images-6-3.jpg” alt=”theindiaprint.com images 6 3″ width=”1289″ height=”722″ srcset=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/theindiaprint.com-images-6-3.jpg 300w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/theindiaprint.com-images-6-3-150×84.jpg 150w” sizes=”(max-width: 1289px) 100vw, 1289px” title=”Google Apps: Google's Top Plans For A Better User Experience Include Emojis In Maps And AI-Based Proofreading In Gboard 15″>

In Google Maps, Emoji
Users will be able to designate their bookmarked destinations with their preferred emoji thanks to the new Maps functionality. “NEW UPDATE: now you can customize your saved places with emojis to help you find your favorite spots faster,” @googlemaps said in a recent X post.

Step 1: Launch the Google Maps application to add emoji to maps.

Step 2: Look for the location you wish to emoji-mark.

Step 3: Locate and hit the ‘Save’ button next to ‘Call’.

The fourth step is to choose “New list” and give the list a name.

Step 5: Select the appropriate emoji by tapping on the “Choose Icon” button.

Step 6: Write a succinct description and mark the place.

Both Android and iOS have a large selection of this choice.

In Gboard, use “Proofread”
‘Proofread’ is a new tool that Google is introducing for Gboard version 13.4 for Android, according to a 9To5Google report. It is located in the toolbar and uses generative AI to allow users to verify their work for grammar and spelling.

A new “Fix it” prompt that allows users to correct mistakes displays in text on eligible devices. This prompt is followed by a Google description of how the functionality will function, and the inputs are shared with Google for processing. Once the user clicks on the ‘Fix it’ popup, it functions. Second, the toolbar’s “Proofread” button fixes grammatical and spelling mistakes.

YouTube’s glowing subscribe button
Additionally, the business is testing a new subscription button that illuminates once the video presenter says the word “subscribe” in the video. Some people purportedly have access to it online. More information about this feature may be found here.
