Priyanka Chopra Joins The Oscar-Nominated Documentary “To Kill A Tiger” as Executive Producer

<p>One of the most well-liked performers in Bollywood, Priyanka Chopra is presently enjoying the success of her Hollywood career as well. Throughout her career, she has been involved in a number of provocative projects; most recently, she joined the team as executive producer of the Oscar-nominated documentary “To Kill A Tiger.” The documentary, which is helmed by Nisha Pahuja, centers on a family in Jharkhand, India, who are fighting for justice after the violent rape of their teenage daughter.</p>

<p>“I’m so proud to join the incredible team of the Academy Award nominated documentary @tokillatigerdoc and to announce that @netflix has acquired the global distribution rights to this powerful feature directed by @nishappics,” Priyanka said in a statement announcing her affiliation with “To Kill A Tiger.” Upon first seeing this film in 2022, I was enthralled with its tragic story, which portrayed a father’s courageous battle inside the legal system to ensure justice for his daughter. This undertaking is proof of the unwavering will and limitless devotion of a committed parent for his beloved daughter.”</p>
<p>“This powerful work of art also truly hits home on so many levels, but personally, I was moved to pieces because I was born in Jharkhand, the state where the survivor and her father are from. As the daughter of a father who was my lifelong champion,” she said. I’m eager for viewers everywhere to come across this poignant tale.”</p>
<p>“To Kill A Tiger” has already taken home three awards: Best Feature Documentary at the Canadian Screen Awards, the Amplify Voices Award at TIFF, and Best Documentary at the Palm Springs International Film Festival. Pahuja was presented with the Directors Guild of Canada’s 2023 Excellence in Documentary Award.</p>
<p>Regarding her career, Priyanka most recently starred in “Citadel.” Priyanka is now filming “Heads of State,” her next Hollywood production. ‘Citadel’s’ second season will include her as the lead actor.</p>
